Welcome to the

Koerner Biodiversity Lab

Our Research
Contact

The Koerner Biodiversity Lab investigates all aspects of biodiversity. Primarily, we focus on grassland plant communities and the forces that create and maintain biodiversity therein. As we live in a rapidly changing world, we also explore how global change will alter these processes, and what the consequences for changes in biodiversity are for ecosystem function and resilience.

Research Questions:

No. 1

What mechanisms influence biodiversity?

No. 2

How will global change drivers alter biodiversity?

No. 3

How does biodiversity and changes in biodiversity influence ecosystem processes?

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

The Koerner Biodiversity Lab is committed to fostering an atmosphere of inclusivity, promoting fairness and compassion in the workplace, and supporting every member’s diverse background and heritage. The Koerner lab does not discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or mental/physical ability. We embrace, value, and seek a wide variety of diversity, ideas, and perspectives.
